For those who can not use dForce fur for renders with Zeus I share “Zeus Fiber Fur”:

It's amazing how much more tolerant most cats are of the liberties taken by human kittens than they are adults. They obviously take development into account.

    Regards,

    Richard.

I really need Zeus to be on sale again, this time, I'm all ready and prepared! Have set store credit aside just for him, and been holding on tight to my PA coupon. Y'all are doing such wonderful renders with him, me wants, too!

Yeah I've been hearing that a lot lately about AUS dollars, feeling so sorry for you guys! I'm better off fortunately paying in Euros, the positive difference is not huge but it's there. I do hope too things will look up for you, rather sooner than later.

It looks like Zeus has much better anatomy than most other daz or poser cat models IMO. Cats are apparently difficult to model and harder to rig correctly. They are just too slinky.

But I have to agree about the toony looks, which is mostly due to the fat face. I am eye-balling the Sphynx addon for zeus because they look very realistic, at least in part due to the more accurate zeus anatomy. Both are in my wishlist. True, Sphynx is really skinny, but that's the breed. The Tilda Swinton of cats.

I tried this little guy out yesterday in a very simple render, which was a good thing. I have a new MacBook Pro M1 and for some reason, it like to take the render screen and overlay the right column, but I found I could reset it the screen by selecting a new layout again. But he stayed stable.

I found this pose and expression reminded me of a friend, so I put him on a laptop, with just an HDRI, and a simple light set only. No other tweaks and the Portrait setting, just a little wider and let it go. At two hours, it was 99% done when the Iray render closed down successfully.

My friend loved him and he is now his Skype image.

Vysur this is a lovely cat and I thank you for his creation.

Hehe...nice render. I never met a cat that could resist a nice, warm laptop. LOL

My gorgeous cat Fluffy, a Norwegian Forest Cat, often did this to me, tucking his head under my chin and purring enough to blurr my eyes.

The fur, I put both PR Clumping 1 and 2 at 25%.

    Regards,

    Richard.

    It's so faithful!

  • The Siberian for Zeus is a beautiful creation. A cat supermodel. Unfortunately, due to Daz's new introductory discounts, I will have to put that beautifiul cat on my whishlist.

  • I will finally buy Zeus heart

  • The Siberian. One of the three really magnificent cats. The others being Maine Coon and Norwegian Forest Cat. I would love to add the Siberian to my Zeus options, but my budget this month was blown getting Zeus. I would like to agree with Mark above, but honesty compels me to say the budget isn't there. I will get the Siberian one day, just not yet.

Same here - would have been an instabuy at the old introductory percentage.

My wishlist is getting filled with kitties! I am hoping that there will eventually be cats that resemble my cats over the years: grey tabby, tuxedo, and calico/tortoise shell cats. All three of the cats look fantastic so far.

Sadly, I am in the same position as richardandtracy. Too much month left at the end of the money, lol.

Yay, I'm finally getting Zeus, in my cart right now! But @Vyusur, you absolute fiend, why did you have to come out with yet another beautiful addition! Like the posters above, my wishlist is getting filled with KITTIES! laugh
