Excellent job on the fur for Siberian Cat, I'm totally sold on believability for it.

Is it possible to save out different settings for the fur, like only concerning length, variation, clumpiness and so on? I'm struggling right now to create a more varied coat (like in AllenArt's pics posted in the gallery I think), and once I manage to achieve that, I would like to keep the settings to use with other fur maps. Does anyone know how to do this?

Only apologising for not instabuying something that would have been an instabuy in my case - but I do appreciate your point.

Cat Zeus was old enough to use a coupon today. Will be patient for the Siberian.

Siberian is beautiful. Loving Zeus and his addons and can't wait to see what's next. Thank you, Vyusur.

Can't really see much of him in this render, but I used Zeus in a 2021 Christmas artwork. He and the HW3D feline are getting along.

    video

    Filament with the fiberfur

I will do him in Carrara Octane next heart

Octane is being a PITA as it does sometimes with puppeteer and not advancing frames

I may need to add something animated out of frame to kick it into actioncheeky

I lengthened your fur as think I like him floofier heart

Things I'd like to see for the kitties:

    Nice collars
    Oriental shorthair morph
    Angora/Persian morph
Flat-faced Persian (although I really feel sorry for those cats and would never use it myself...lol)
    Munchkin (although, same as flat-faced)
    Kitten morphs
More fine-tuned shaping morphs like longer and shorter faces, triangular heads, move the eyes around and angle them, morphs for the abdomen, fat cat, etc. :)

Just some ideas, tho I'm sure they've occurred to you already ;)

As I can see, the fiber fur is not so bad, hehe.

  • it is great for Filament, the line tesselation needed for strandbased actually makes that heavier

You're welcome. A great example or the two visible layers of cat fur.

Been playing with Zeus and the Sphynx add-on for a while now, first render's cooking and looking really nice. Just one thing I noticed: When using a pose where the cat's eyes are closed, the dials relating to that don't respond accordingly - they're still set at zero. So if I want to open the eyes again, in the same pose, I have to turn off limits for 'eyes closed' and dial a negative value. That seems unnecessarily complicated to me. @Vyusur, might want to address that at some point. It's only a small thing though, generally I'm very happy with the critter! heart

Edited to attach first render, so much fun really!

Doesn't he?laugh It's a mix of Zeus and 30% or so of Asher, they mix really well I think. Still can't get the fur to be so long and varied as you did in your Siamese render. Keeping at it though :-)

    Beautiful render!

Maybe this will help with the fur length. I used Sphynx Fur with scale 550%.
