The only thing I see that might be off is the black cat fur. Black cats have dark skin under their dark fur and therefore don't have white whiskers or eyebrows. SUPER SUPER easy fix tho :P.

I have a tortie that's mostly black. Her whiskers are black....except for one. LOL It's over a tiny spot that happens to be white (and her skin is pink there).

    They are so fluffy!

As a child, I had a black cat. It was so long ago that I don't remember the color of his mustache anymore. And my white cat had a white mustache.

Here I found a black cat with white whiskers.

  • my late Felix was a B&W tuxedo cat and his thick white whiskers emerged from black fur.

My late totally black cat Crystal, had black whiskers but she randomly grew a white one once, it looked weird.

Here we go. Also see Zeus promos.

Thank you very much. I have to confess, I am not a cat person, but one of the things that I never liked about DAZ Cat and Dog is their feet/paws never seemed natural looking at all. I know Zeus was called toony looking, but overall, from what I've seen. its one of the more natural looking cats I have seen. Its very nice.

I've been owned by several black cats through the years, and they've all had grey-to-white whiskers.

YES, now me can make floofy cat too! laugh Hair scale 300%, and then some clumpiness added. Makes for a real nice stray I thought. The fur is just fantastically versatile.

Thank you! Kind of wanted to plug the poor thing from the render myself. But he does seem quite content there in the sun ...

Many kudos for your volunteer work! heart

ok.. I went and did it... I used my $6.00 Daz+ coupon and grabbed Zeus together with Lora and Lorel at the already fantastic percent off.  What a deal... Thank you Vyusur... I love your work... You are one of my favorite PAs ;)   (shhh don't tell the other PAs)  lol

I'm going to work on an artpiece of the girls with Zeus... but in the meantime... He's catching some sun rays so I'll let him sleep... shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Oh I love working at the shelter... I am blessed to have a great one up the street from where I live.  The girls are wonderful there.   Unfortunately we don't have many windows at the shelter for the cats to sleep in... so luckily they get adopted pretty fast.  This is our slow time... We only have about 20 cats left... but... kitten season is right around the corner (April).   We can't wait to foster some more babies this year.  Last year we fostered 19 kittens and a mama.  So fun!

I think not because they're white per se, but because they're more translucent than the body hair. I've yet to see an all black cat with white whiskers myself ;)

My mostly black tortie with the lone white whisker...lol. The mostly white calico definitely has white whiskers. (Pepper is tortie and Smudge is calico)

    ..same here.

On the topic of the Siberian Cat is it possible to make ear tufts to turn it into a Maine Coon?

<--is wondering if the person who started this thread... doubledeviant ... ever got Zeus???  I don't see a response and there sure are a lot of renders for them to get and idea of how he looks.  hummmmmm  ... Inquiring minds want to know... Did they???  or ... Didn't they???  lol

Vyusur, are you planning on adding eyelashes for Zeus in a future expansion? I know they're usually hard to see on most cats, but my tom at home has the thickest, caramel-colored lashes. It would be so cool to be able to recreate that. Also even more realistic of course.

Never thought of this before. Maybe someday, we'll see.

Cool, will be keeping my eyes peeled!

  • Lots of wonderful renderings in this thread, and your extra-floofy Siberians are great AllenArt! Starting to remind me of Planet Zoo's easter egg for making the animals floofy.

    I don't have Zeus & add-ons yet, but someday....

I have a silly question... Are we supposed to be simulating the dForce hair?  Nothing seems to happen when I click 'simulate' on my Zeus.

I could be wrong. But I don't really see cat fur to be dependant on gravity.
