Just finished manually adding the 3d printing licenses of my 4374 DO items purchased by July 12, over a whole week. Even had to do a quick math to make sure I didn't miss out any (clicked the DO item banner at the front page, calculated how many DO items I bought, then minus the number of those DO items purchased after 12 July)... that was kind of traumatic for me LOL. Now I have zero motive to buy anymore.

What about those of us who already added vast numbers of the licenses and now can't open our product libraries?

    This concerns me as well

Yesterday I could open my library today I get a 524 timeout message

I was about post about that as well.  Times out at about 4-minutes.  I guess I'll go follow that other thread. Thanks.

Can't get much better than that.

How do we know which products have the license applied?

I don't know, we will have to see how it shows.

You may need to open a support ticket, though it may be that having added all those licenses manually is confusing the automated system, or at least slowing it (especially if it was working while you were adding).

In your "Product Library" when you open a product under the order number is a label for license type: Standard License / 3dprinting License.

Even though Daz has added printing licenses automatically now, they have not resolved the problem of new bundle purchases wiping out the order date for earlier individual item purchases. I did not get licenses for products that fall into those situations. I have an open ticket.

so in the product library. I "bought" the 3d license for Victoria 8. It does not show anything in the product library, or the order..nor is it inidcated such on the product page. Very confusin

Here is how it appears in my Product Library. Notice the red circled portion. This label indicates the license type: Standard / 3dprint (possibly even interactive?)

I'll use Victoria 7 as an example... search for the specific product you own in your Product Library and then click the View Product Page link.  On the product page, look at the box titled, "Optional License Add-Ons:". In my Victoria 7 example (see attached screenshot), you will see next to the "3D Printing License $1.99" a very faint light gray filled-in checkbox with a checkmark indicating that I own the 3D License.

@GuyGenesis Thanks for pointing out the other way to see ownership of a 3D Printing License from directly within the Product Library.

My Product Library is showing I own the 3D Print License for Victoria 8.
The invoice referenced indicates product purchase of the "Staff Picks for Genesis 8 Females Bundle 1".  My best guess DAZ is adding, via batch, the 3D Print License to eligible products purchased referencing the original product purchase invoice and date.  I'm positive I've manually purchased the 3D Print License for Victoria 8 between August 1-7.

My pleasure, I just happened upon it as I was going through my library, and thought it handy.

Giving away these license(s) was a very generous gesture by Daz, I truly appreciate it, and the extra support in the auto addition to library, alongside the loading maintenance. So, thank you.

  • I'm glad that DAZ3D is doing this. I was just entering June 2020, and just realized that my data-entry has been EXTREMELY lossy. As in, I'd click on 20 items, in 20 tabs, come back, and only have 2-5 more items in my cart. I do believe I'll let you guys do it. That was over an hour wasted with maybe 20% success.

That said. I got back to when I purchased the "Dream Home" series, back when it was on sale. https://www.daz3d.com/dream-home-front-drive https://www.daz3d.com/dream-home-entrance-lanai-and-mud-room https://www.daz3d.com/media-room-accessories

They're doing some wonderful things, these days, printing in concrete, so I have my hopes that, one day soon, I could have this printed, and now I have the license to do it.
    Just one question.
What filament do I need to print a working big screen TV?

That's awesome! Thanks to the whole Daz team! My right hand is very happy about this.

It looks like they have changed the method - before all licenses (interactive / 3dprinting) were added as separate products, this is not the case anymore.  I'd guess that fixes the problem.

But none of my DOs seem to have a 3dprinting license yet, except for the one I purchased myself a few days ago, so I can't test.

My product library is working again AND not crowded with all the extra items. Nice fix!

It looks as if they are correcting the items that had their purchase dates reset. For example, I got the Tara Bundle in the last bundle sale, but I already owned all the content, because I bought the mega bundle back in 2020. Earlier today, it only showed the standard license for Tara, but now it shows the 3dprinting license.

Any one else having similar fixes? Wondering if it's truly fixed or if I'll have to dig back through my purchases and turn in tickets, as I had planned to do. (It would be awesome if it wasn't necessary!!!)

I was a bit pessimistic that Daz was going to fix this for us and I am way more than pleased that they have done better than add the licenses, but already fixed the product library issue and made the whole thing more managable. And quickly. Wow!

    Thank you for the update!

Question: will you/somebody let us know when they think they are finished? Please?

So we can check whether it's OK or whether they missed some.

I just spot checked some Daz Originals in my library, and the only ones that have 3D-printing licenses are the small number that I added manually.

So I'd say no - the issue hasn't been fully addressed yet.

Ah, I just reached Centaur 7 Male adding licenses myself. Not sure, but I think that means I was already about halfway down the list.
It's been an interesting trip going through my purchases, and I might continue it after Daz sorts the rest of my licenses. Soo much awesome stuff I forgot about, so much stuff that doesn't even show up in Smart Content.

True. I just found that I missed quite a few DO 3d printing licenses, so what I have now is what I added manually. But I am sure that DAZ will correct this problem.

    There is

    • 3dprinting License

    and

    • Standard License

if you check your Product Library.

We will have to send tickets for items we bought in 2020-2021 and were part of bundles after July 2022?  (The date of buying is getting overwritten by the newer date. XP )
