I really don't see the point since I don't think there's anyone here with the resources for printing large scenes that have hundreds of different models. I think this is meant to be "project specific" and more for those who want to print and sell 3D printings of specific models(i.e. characters with hair & outfits), which means they're not going to need to buy so many of those licenses. Also, I think if you already own the previous commercial license, it should encompass the 3D printing since it would be silly to have two different ones rather than just one that covers "everything".
Good to know, thanks for taking the time.
I don't suppose you could see about arranging to give everyone a heads-up if that solution gets finalized and pushed later this week?
That's great news, and thanks very, very much for digging into it and letting us know. It's much appreciated.

I run some searches for which there are plenty of DO results, but Daz isn't available in the artist filter.
I run other searches and see Daz in the artist filter, but clicking it does nothing but refresh the page - retaining all the non-DO results.
The issue is making it difficult to browse DO items for which I might want to add a 3D-printing license. :|
https://www.daz3d.com/daz-originals is the link for just Daz Originals. Then hopefully you've got the browser deals plugin to show only owned. 86 pages for me.
Maybe someone else has said this in this growing thread so please excuse if so but, just because a lot of us haven't used our content to it's full extent shouldn't mean that we should miss out on what Daz is offering here simply because we can't go thru our libraries fast enough to grab all the 3D printing licenses. I'm grateful they're offering it but at the same time, whether or not I intend on using that license, if they're offering it to us once then I think they should offer it always or automatically give it to us. Why should we have to spend days going thru all of our content to download what we don't even know we might want to print in the future? It causes nothing but stress to be offered something free only to be told you have a limited time to grab all the free stuff. Many of us have been here for a loooooong time and yes, I AM interested in 3D printing but I do not have the time to go thru my massive library to get the free licenses and wouldn't even know which ones to choose considering I haven't been doing any 3D printing. But I'd like to sometime in the future and I think because of all this, Daz really needs to find a way to give their customers the licensing for every one of their models - automatically. Otherwise a lot of us will miss out on what seems to be a great deal solely because we cannot devote the time to get them. If Daz is able to offer this freebie deal, and they cannot find a way to do it automatically, they should at least make it a 'Forever' offer for their long standing customers, or actually, all customers. So that when we're ready to print, we can at that time choose what we want. We shouldn't have to miss out on this kind of deal based on whether or not we actually use our purchased models or not. It should be based on that we purchased the models and that Daz is offering a free 3D license and that the 'Free' should apply to that combo, - forever.
In the last few years, I've printed hundreds of DAZ models for myself and patiently waited for an actual commercial license that I might, eventually, offer my models as added incentives for some of my "someday" schemes.
I am absolutely amazed that they've come out with a commercial license to let me do this for only $1.99 per item ($1.39 for Platinum+) with unlimited prints allowed; that it's a one-time fee and not monthly blows my mind. I support some 3D miniature Patreon and Tribes artists and their Merchant licenses (usually $25-$50) are monthly, all rights to sell the prints stop once you stop renewing.
LIke many here, I have over 10,000 DAZ originals purchased before July 13, 2022 that I can get licenses to, for free. Basically, DAZ is giving me -- at no extra charge -- $20,000 worth of lifetime licenses... for FREE!
WOW! Just... wow.
If DAZ doesn't find a way to automate the process of marking my licenses as purchased, I'll do it myself for the few dozen that I aniticipate actually using commercially in the next couple of years and, should I trip across an item of five that I need for something I *didn't* anticipate, I'm perfectly fine with paying another $10 or so for the license, because it's still the cheapest licence out there.
I confess to seeing a lot less "thanks, DAZ" posts than "$20,000 in free licenses isn't enough, you need to work harder to make it better for me" posts, especially from people who admit they've never printed anything nor do that even anticipate printing anything commercially.
THE BOTTOM LINE; When we purchased all of our 10,000 models, THERE WERE NO COMMERCIAL LICENSES. We are being offered free licences for a limited time. DAZ didn't have to do that. They could have said that prinitng licenses were now avaiable for $1.99 an item, and those who want them would have been thrilled and people who weren't interested wouldn't have had anything to complain about.
DAZ doesn't *owe* us free licenses, at all. Not even one. It wasn't offered nor implied when we originally bought the items. This is a free bonus. Free, for the next two months.
So, thanks DAZ, for your incredible generousity regarding your 3D commercial licenses. I'm sorry you have to field so much negative backlash for being so generous, hopefully this won't make you shy away from being generous in the future. It's truly sad that you can't give something away for free without being slammed for it.

I'm actually having a LOT of fun going through all my Daz Original purchases and getting the print licenses. There are so many hidden gems I totally forgot about. I know, Daz is looking into adding a bulk purchase option, but still, it's fun! And if they have trouble adding the bulk purchase option, then at least I made sure to grab a good amount of them before the offer ends.
Obviously, I started adding bundles. That definitely put a big dent in the collection.
Next, I had all DO's I purchased ordered by date (select high-low price ordering, and then reselect New Arrivals, just to make sure it actually IS ordered by date).
Well, I only just reached the Yuzuru 8 Pro bundle in that list, so it's going to take a while to reach Vicky 4. That made me consider something:
Figures are printed untextured, and painting them will have a huge effect on how they're going to look. Using the exact same model but not painting it right, will cause a noticable difference. However, using a similar, but not identical model, and painting it right, can give a result that is very recognizable for what you intended. So, instead of more models, and more outfits (many similarities found there too), I shifted my focus onto props, vehicles and environments. I'm not intending to print my all model empty handed without any props. So, I figured I need furniture, tools, toys, weapons, other equipment, and maybe even some small vehicles (or parts of vehicles).
That resulted in a new search: specific creators who released a lot of environments, vehicles and props throughout the years as DO's. I already went through my collection for Petipet, Ironman13, Ironman, Fugazi, Polish, Charlie and several others
I went through and did a bunch of bundles the other day and it took freaking forever, even with all the features that DAZ DEALS plug in offers, primarily since the stupid store keeps defaulting to "newest items" constantly, which obviously puts one back in the items that absolutely, positively won't be eligible. Ironically, though, a side effect of all of that was that I spent a lot less time actually shopping in the store, since I was only looking at things that I already own and tend to forget about. Man, I can't believe that I'm STILL waiting for someone to come up with a real replacement for the old 3DContent Database 2 that DAZ broke with one of their site upgrades nearly 10 years ago, but both Rendo and DAZ seem to be determined to undermine every attempt to make one by constantly changing how their sites function.
Yes, Walt, you have the right attitude about this generous offer from Daz. Now they are even looking into how to make it easier for us to get the free licenses.
To prevent this I found that if I open each item in a new tab thenyou will slll have the page you are working from preserved instead of resetting.
please write a tutorial explaining step by step how to prepare a DAZ character for printing? I fail constantly and have given up.
DAZ did send out an email with somne links - how-tro's and such
https://www.daz3d.com/3d-printing-information/
It's probably just a "add a print license option to all DAZ Originals..." script that's been applied but it may also be intentional. Anyone having access to a very high-end printer (as does Gameprint, for example) or even a lower-end colour 3D printer (like xyz's da Vinci Color 3D Printer, and who knows what we'll have in a few years?) could use the texture maps and they thought it better to be safe than sorry.

thanks..yea I went there but its pretty elementary. like what to do when the easy mode doesn;t make things manifold? is there a way to make hair solid? how about clothes...holes and more... You have to know quite a lot about exporting obj files, the DAZ /Blender bridge, it rarely works for me so I just export/import obj files. Dude Genesis with no hair or clother seems to work pretty well. I have had success with some terrain.
Those might be your best bet. Until June, when I retired, my workload for the last few years (45-65 hours a week) left precious little free time, so I ran all of my DAZ models through Gameprint's plug-in (the time saved and very high success rate was well worth it to me). If the STL returned had any issues they weren't Gameprint's fault and I would make adjustments and resend, which always worked; I just checked my Gameprint account and it looks like I had them process 336 files for me over the years, yikes! I need to start paying more attention.
I've found their system a little slower the last few times I sent files (I would send before bed and they'd be ready when I woke up, whwereas I used to get them back within the hour in most cases) and laely some people have had some issues with Gameprint itself, but all of my eperiences have been good.
If you'd like to PM me and let me know what sort of issues you're having I'd be glad to see if I can help. Perhaps there might be an increased interest in 3D printing and someone might like to start a thread of tips and tricks to help each other.

That took some time. However I am happy to get the 3d print licenses.
I can't make use of them right now, but once our game is launched I'll have the means to consider merchandise of 3d printed figures, it would of been a very expensive venture before, but it has helped.
thanks. I agree there should be an increased interest in 3D proiting with this new license. Yes, a thread would be great to have. I tried Gameprint once just to see, and the model did print fairly well, but then it involved refining my 3D prionting skills. Its a pretty big learning curve over all, prepping the models is but a part of it. Even the type of printer makes a huge difference. I was using an Ender 3 and had a lot of problems, then bought a :Prusa MK3S+ and the prints were remarkable better. Now I'm refining that process to get out some fairly dent prints. Bought an Anycubic Photon Mono X resin prenter a few months ago. Thats a totally different process, but the detail is great, another learning curve.
My goal is to be able to create a character in DS and get them printed. I don;t really care if I can sell them or not, but that would be an extra if there were a market. The 3D printing worlkd is expanding fast, so less andless opportunity for sales, but I think it would be open enough if you printed something cool.
Today is Aug 3. I went to the shop page and looked to see how many DO I own. 9770 is the number. I opened an item I bought in June and there is no option to add the 3d printing license. I am on a desktop. My friend on mobile said he had the option show up. I attached pics of my results. Where do things stand right now? If we are to add almost 10,000 items manually every day counts. If they are going to help out their good customers that own a lot of items, please let us know. If anyone has a current update I will appreciate your sharing. Thank you.
Have you tried another browser?
I don't see the interactive license in your picture, either. Do you have DAZ Deals hiding extra licenses?
Yes, you are correct. I changed the extension and now I can see the license. Thank you.
in some software you can export obj with displacement intact. Often the displacement is texture driven. Sometimes it is just procedural.
Thanks for offering the 3D Printing licenses!
I just put in hours of work ordering many, many of them. One thing that might help sell them in the future is if the Product Library had a way to filter to show which products have a 3D Printing license available that the user has not already purchased. That's a utility I'd definitely use before beginning a commercial print process, to make sure I'm "legal" with the products I want to print.
I think being able to filter your library by license type would be phenomenal.
Filtering by artist and license type would be ideal (standard, interactive, print).
I'd love to be able to sort by genre or artist.
Any word from DAZ about those of us with a huge number to get the licenses for?
For interactive licences just type "interactive", that will show your licenses, as these are separate products.
