The cause for annoyance is likely due to the timing. I've read that flash sales are often scheduled in a way that folks in certain time zones are usually unable to participate. Gotta sleep some time!
That's it. 11pm here and today's first sale starts. Next one will be 3 AM I expect. And I'll wake up to the mundane March "Madness".

@marble you know, every time I think I've got it all figured out and get a great simulation on one item that makes me go heck yeah, I've got it! I go back and do a simulation on something else with what should have been the same settings and it crinkles up like an aluminum can, so I don't know. It's really annoying lol. I'm still working at it though, and when I finally get it figured out, I'll make another video. Right now just because I'm trying to get these three projects I'm on finished so I can start putzing around again and experimenting, I've been animating in Maya since I have access to it through the class I'm in, exporting those keys to Daz so I get the better, smoother IK animation and then using dForce for the cloth simulation. But I am definitely trying to master this still and when I do, I'll post a video in the Blender part of the Daz forums

Oh, I agree. I was simply pointing out that Daz has no obligation to lower their prices just because some of us don't have extra money to pay for the stuff. But that also means we have no obligation to buy at their prices either ;). If that hurts them in the end, it's their own doing, not ours. The only way we can vote is with our money.
I got an orange banner for 70% off a selected DAZ Original and I cannot find a single one I want
Same here. Apart from not wanting a single item: Today's two Bonus Mad discount 89% in my cart. And for owning them already I'm offerend a non-stacking 70% on something else. Sure.
Had a long comment why this years MM is not taking off in the making. But would not change a thing.

Well, I bought a Stanley Plum tree today because the discount on all the leprechaun items shot up too quickly not leaving me enough to buy the items I wanted so instead, a tree to plant. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, or at all, do it all the time, but it seems to me as if the introductory discount on new items used to stick around longer than it does now.
I am not DAZ+ and the discount didn't even tempt me, thats whats really sad
I am not saying 70% is bad and I am sure there are other DOs not in that selection I may have bought, I just did not need a single thing that was
whats even worse is 10 of my wishlist items were in the list but all halfhearted additions I had free textures from DAZ for, I add the needed products to my WL whenever they give us a freebie but honestly don't want most of them
The set of products included items in my Wishlist, but after the discount, they still cost more than they were listed for in previous sales the past few weeks. I didn't buy them when they were cheaper because I have strict criteria for return-on-investment.
I suppose it's a good deal for those who missed the previous discounts.
What gets me are the overall price increases on products. Now you have Grab Bag at $3.99 instead of $1.99. 100% increase? I wish *MY* salary doubled in the past year. Everything has gone up and sales/discounts are no longer enticing. As already said, they can raise their prices and we don't have to buy. I just wonder where this is going to land.
I did spend $9 in last night's flash sale, it was the lowest price I've seen for a specific item I could use so I grabbed it. But I feel cheated.
If they didn’t force us to get 10 items to get the $2.99 price, I would have spent $18 to $24 daily since the last catch up, Instead I emptied my cart every day except one day when I did manage to find 10. But unless they do a catch up without a buy-in, they’ve lost a lot of money from me. I don’t need any of those things, but for $2,99 I’m willing to buy several but not at $3.99.
I’m guessing they’re making most of their sales from newbies who don’t already have everything they really need so I guess the sale is good for them, but if they didn’t require 10 grab bag items to get the $2.99 price, they’d have even more money from long time customers. And if they put the prices down to $1.99 I may have purchased 10 or more items daily. And for the PAs, $1.00 in their pocket is better than 0, I kind of feel sorry for them.
Same here. I can't afford to spend 30 bucks again and again, just to get things that I don't really need to a real bargain price which is still a lot higher than it used to be. So I'm waiting for the catch-up, like many, many others I guess.
Yep, I've been there for a while now, and I'm lucky if there's even anything displayed. With 17131 DAZ originals currently in the store and only 1,353 I don't have, the math isn't exactly in my favor. :/
I had the banner and I haven't gotten anything this month, other than the free item that one day (with the coupon). Maybe double check your site messages to see if you got it? Otherwise no idea what would have triggered it.

Yep, same here. Without a buy-in DAZ would have my money. With it, they don’t. It seems like DAZ is just shooting itself in the foot but maybe buying new items is more important to them than a chunk of cash for a gift card. I really don’t understand their market strategy.
I did finally cave and buy the cheapest thing on my Wishlist in the 70% coupon selection, just so I could get the freebie forklift
while the blurb always says a new item I find it works with any paid item over a dollar like it used to say, I guess it's new to me
The verbiage on mine is "Because you already own 1 or more of today’s Bonus MAD Items" but the key part is the following "please enjoy 70% OFF*" and "Does not stack with other discounts." So, like the vast majority of this March Patheticness promotion so far, it's just another sign that whoever's running the show now seems to prefer that I spend my money elsewhere these days.
...I'm a little annoyed that the key items often tend to be expensive bundles. For today, pay 91$ to get an extra 10% off? Would need a 1,000$ cart to basically break even. Wonder how many here actually spend that much in one purchase.
...well I did pick up the Daz+ freebie and Sheep 2 (which is a Daz+ item), Thought about the enigma thingy as it's a joke on those flashing tube device from Star Trek first appearing in Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan on the Regula-1 station.

Yeah, not this year. The whole thing is beyond bizarre... though it does make one reconsider the recent attrition of so many PAs to other sites. Honestly, I keep expecting to open Renderosity one morning and see a big banner welcoming Stonemason as a new exclusive vendor. :/
well, its strange to get the 70% off banner becasue I already have those bonus items, but I've had nearly every bonus item so far and have not gotten a banner for anything off. The non-stacking kind of kills the deal though. Yeah, 70% off, but nothing that is in my wislist or anything I 'need". Why spend the moeny...if it were to stack I might grab something just because.
On that wishlist, I rarely have any DO products in it.
Anyway, no DAZ+ items have interested me in awhile either, and the price on those have gone up where I dont even want to use them for when you need to buy a new item to get a great deal. DAZ is slowly falling off my radar
I bought myself a gift card before the sale because I budgeted a certain amount of spending. I have gotten two sets of the 10 for 2.99 each. I have also bought a few of the new releases, such as the UltraScenery add-on (this was the budget hog). All in all, Daz has gotten plenty of my money this March. I am OK with that; I am not dissatisfied with my purchases. I did not overspend my budget. I have enough remaining on my gift card to buy one more set of 10 for 2.99 each, which I plan to save for what I hope will be a final catch-up sale - with just a little left on the card for one item discounted from a PA store. Will be checking my favorite PAs.
Even though it seems like I have spent more than most of the people posting in the thread, this year does not feel 'mad' like it did during prior years. I would have purchased the UltraScenery add-on no matter when it was released. Really, my participation in the 'Mad' part of the annual March Madness sale is really just the 10 for 2.99 purchases. I picked up some nice items from my point of view (like HD morphs), but not a crazy good sale.
